Bidding On Pro Mountain Bike Athlete Jerseys To Raise Money For Adrian Walsh

About 8 months ago Adrian Walsh, a fellow mountain biker, had a terrible crash resulting in him suffering a C5 - C7 spinal injury. This has rendered Adrian with limited movement from the shoulders down. He is the husband of Nhi and father of three children, Lily, Piper and Ryder.

I don't personally know Adrian but he seems like a genuinely caring man with a passion for mountain biking and life in general. Despite the life changing injury that he sustained, him and his family are determined to go through the long road of recovery. However, they need our financial support to make it through this tough journey.

Here is a link of their gofundme page where you can donate money to help out Walsh and his family. They have already surpassed their goal of 90.000 dollars by almost 10.000. Here is also a link to their Facebook page where you can stay updated on the status of Adrian's recovery.

If you feel like donating money isn't really your cup of tea and/or you are looking for something in return, you can head on over to eBay. Here, you can bid on jerseys worn and signed by some of your favorite professional mountain bikers. All of the money will go to further supporting Walsh and his family. I find this really cool because not only are you supporting a good cause, but you are also getting yourself a really cool and unique jersey which you can bet no one else will have.

I am unfortunately not going to be bidding on any of the jerseys because they are too expensive for me. Although I would love to be able to bid on Jared Grave's, Curtis Keene, and Josh Bryceland's jerseys. I love the colors and design of the Jared's and Curtis's jerseys and I'd say Josh is my favorite rider and an inspiration so having his jersey would mean more to me than any of the others. However, if you have money to spend, this is a great cause to spend it on. Make sure to hurry up though, since the bidding ends on the 20th of February.

To end on an optimistic note, I would like to just take a moment and appreciate how eager people in the mountain biking community are to help those in need. I also really appreciate the professional mountain biker's donation of their jerseys to be auctioned off for a good cause. Last but most definitely not least, I wish Adrian and his family the best of luck on the tough journey to recovery. If this article can get the word out and get even one more person to donate money, then I'd consider it a success.
